A study inspired by a painting by Georges Antoine Rochegrosse (1859-1938). An exploration of form, gesture and atmosphere, revisiting a historic canvas through a contemporary lens. This piece allowed me to observe and to reinterpret its textures, colours and dramatic tension with my own visual language. A creative exercise halfway between homage and reinterpretation.
