An illustration project inspired by Victor Hugo’s Les Travailleurs de la Mer, a novel where the sea becomes both adversary and destiny. Each piece explores Hugo’s fascination with the ocean as a living force: unpredictable, violent, yet profoundly spiritual. Inspired by romanticism and 19th-century visual atmospheres, the project offers a contemporary artistic reading of one of Hugo’s most powerful narratives.
